Biography

Prof. Lei Dong received his B.S. degree from College of Physics and Electronic Engineering, Shanxi University. He received Ph.D. degree from State Key Laboratory of Quantum Optics and Quantum Optics Devices, Shanxi University under the advisory of Prof. Suotang Jia in 2007. After the postdoc work with Prof. Frank K. Tittel at Rice University, he joined the Institute of Laser Spectroscopy, Shanxi University in 2011. His current research focuses on research and development in laser spectroscopy, in particular photoacoustic spectroscopy applied to sensitive, selective and real-time trace gas detection, and laser applications in environmental monitoring, chemical analysis, industrial process control, and medical diagnostics.
