Laser Spectroscopy Laboratory of Shanxi University is the academic research institution of College of Physical Electronics Engineering and at the same time is part of State Key Laboratory of quantum optics and Quantum optics devices. Our main research direction are ultracold atomic and molecular physics, laser physics and single-molecule spectroscopy and applications.
  We have engaged in the researches about the interactions of the laser and atoms/molecules, high-resolution laser spectroscopy and quantum optics. We did our best to foster a dynamic and stable academic team having the capacity for sustainable development. In recent years, the members of the laboratory visited successively to NIST of United States, Harvard University, the University of Maryland, Timothy Hopkins University, the French National Science Center , the University of Innsbruck and the Institute for Quantum Optics and Quantum Information (IQOQI) of the Austrian Academy of Sciences and the Taiwan Institute of Atomic and Molecular Science.
  We have completed the 42 programs including National Basic Research Pre-Studies Program, the National Natural Science Foundation projects and the Natural Science Foundation projects of Shanxi provincel and Ministry of Science and Technology of China. We are researching the program includingNational Basic Research Program (973 project), the National High Technology Research and Development Program("863"Program) of China, 4 the National Natural Science Foundation projects and the other 10 Shanxi provincial and ministerial projects. In recent years, more than 180 articles have been published in the important international and domestic academic journals, two national invention patents have been accredited.We also acquired the Shanxi Province Natural Science Award and Shanxi Science and Technology Progress award.
